You've found me. That means we were meant to connect. I believe that everything that happens to you and to me is part of our karma and part of our destiny. This blog is my attempt to keep a record of all the weird coincidences and meaningful synchronicities that happen in my life. Sometimes I will go for weeks and not notice anything and other times there will be several in a day. If you have a story to tell about a coincidence or synchronicity that's happened to you, I'd love to hear it.

Mirror Synchronicity: Lost Keys
Last night I went to a basketball game and after the game I discovered that I no longer had my keys. Fortunately, my husband had his keys. I thought there was a chance that I forgot to bring them with me, so we drove home. When I got home, though, I realized that I did not have them. Needless to say, I was freaking out... in addition to my keys, I had a flash drive with work stuff on it. Today when I went to visit my dad, I was going to get my spare key from him because we did not have another. Strangely enough, my dad lost his keys this week as well - which included the only spare key to my house!
Happily, I called the arena and they did have my keys. I thanked the universe that a kind soul turned them in.

Mirror Synchronicity: Our friend

This story is from my friend Jill:
Ok- You may not believe this little story... and I am ok with that cause I am having trouble believing it myself. Today Zach had a friend over from his basketball team to play and over the course of the afternoon it came up that his dad had served in Iraq. The boy then shared that his dad had lost a friend in Iraq- who had died a year ago today. We shared that we too had lost a friend a year ago today in Iraq and said that his name was Michael Norman. The kids said that his dad's friend name was also Michael Norman. He called his dad and indeed we both knew the same person. This boy's father was serving with Cpt. Norman at the time of his death. What are the chances that two people who knew Cpt. Norman would live in Mill Valley in Marysville, Ohio. Aaron wears a bracelet with Cpt. Norman's name on it to remind him of a leader who impacted those around him in such a positive way- this boy's dad also wears a bracelet with Cpt. Norman's name on it- because he felt so impacted by him also.
What a testimony Michael left to those who served with him. I don't think I ever have to worry about him being forgotten.
Captain Norman is the soldier on the right in this picture.

Directional Synchronicity: Of all the schools
Again I shadowed some presenters from where I work at a middle school health class. I was only shadowing at one school out of the hundreds in the city. During the 4th class I look over and see my nephew! I had no idea he went to the school and I had no choice in what school I was shadowing . Needless to say, we were both shocked to see each other. In fact he was so shocked to see me he asked my last name to verify it really was me! We saw each other in a new light. I got to see how he interacted with his peers (he's the smart kid!) and he got to see me 'at work'. It was neat. :)

Mirror Synchronicity: TV imitating life #3
I sat in on 4 middle school STI health class presentations this morning. I came home, grabbed lunch and went to the DVR. The first show I started watching was Bones from last week. I kid you not, the opening sequence was two teens who just had sex outside and then the boy went around the corner to pee and he peed into a puddle that turned purple. He called out to the girl and said, "Are you SURE I'm the first person you have had sex with?" implying that she had just given him some kind of sexually transmitted infection. WEIRD!
